Cairo Tower has established during the period of Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser from 1956 AD to 1961 AD with cost 6 million pounds and 500 Egyptian workers.
Cairo tower design:
Noam Shabib, the Egyptian architect, put the design Cairo Tower. This design is inspired by the lotus flower, one of the most important symbols of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
The tower stands on a base from granite brought from Aswan city. The height of the tower is 186 meters, making it the tallest building in Egypt, consisting of 16 floors.

Cairo Tower was restored between 2006 to 2008 by the Arab Contractors Company with a cost of 15 million pounds. This restoration process included restoring the tower’s iron structure, installing emergency stairs, adding a new elevator, strengthening the tower’s entrance, and painting the tower’s exterior body.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities launched an initiative to illuminate Egyptian tourist attractions such as the Pyramid of Khufu and Cairo Tower to send a message to the world.
