The Royal Jewelry Museum is the most luxurious museum in Egypt. and it includes the jewelry of the family of Muhammad Ali Pasha. who ruled Egypt for 150 years from 1805 AD to 1952 AD until the revolution of July 23, 1952 and the end of the royalism in Egypt.
The Royal Jewelry Museum is located at 27 Ahmed Yehees Pasha St – Zezenia in Alexandria. The building of this museum is the palace of Princess Princess Fatma El Zahraa.
Princess Fatma El Zahraa’s palace
Princess Fatma El Zahraa is the daughter of Prince Haider Fadel, son of Prince Mustafa Fadel, brother of Khedive Ismail. This palace was built between 19192 and 1923 AD.
This palace was built in the European architectural style on an area of 4185 square meters. The palace features stained-glass windows , wooden floors that were imported from Turkey and Europe,the oil paintings, and the ceilings of the palace are decorated with drawings representing European legends.
The palace was converted into a museum in 1986 AD. it is divided into 10 halls, displaying 11,000 pieces such as the jewelry of the family of Muhammad Ali Pasha and precious gifts.
It is known that the family of Muhammad Ali Pasha built many palaces in Egypt. some of which were the seat of government, such as Abdeen Palace, , Al Gawhara Palace in Citadel of Saladin and Montazah Palace.

A golden chessboard consisting of 32 pieces inlaid with diamonds and colored enamel. it was a gift from the Shah of Iran to King Farouk.

A collection of exquisite watches and jewelry pieces specially made by the most famous European designers for the family of Muhammad Ali Pasha.
The crown of Princess Shivakiar, the first wife of King Fuad I. is made of platinum and white pearls.
The crown of Queen Farida, the first wife of King Farouk. is made of platinum and inlaid with white and yellow diamonds.
