Day One: Arrive Cairo
After your breakfast meal, you will find Egypt Light Tours tour guide waiting for you to start your tour in Cairo.
Firstly, you will go-ahead to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square to see the collection reflecting the art and civilization of the ancient Egyptians ranging from prehistory to Greco-Roman times. Also, you will enjoy the gold and treasures of the Yuya and Tuya collection.
After that, you will be moved to Giza Plateau, where you will be amazed by the three pyramids of Kings Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Your tour guide will tell you about the secrets of these great pyramids. Additionally, you will see the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple.
Also, you will enjoy a horse or camel ride for two hours and the sunset view in Giza Plateau. You will enjoy taking fabulous photos.
You may enjoy an optional activity. In the evening, you will be able to attend the Sound & Light Show at Giza Plateau.
Finally, our team will move you back to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
Day Three: Saqqara & Memphis & Dahshour
After your breakfast, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to go ahead to Saqqara to visit King Djoser’s complex to see the first stone building in history and the first pyramid in the ancient Egyptian civilization (the Step pyramid).
After that, you will move to Memphis site. Memphis was the first capital of united Egypt and the capital of ancient Egypt during the Old Kingdom. It was founded by King Menes in 3200 BC. Also, you will visit Memphis Museum to see the great statue of King Ramses II and the second biggest sphinx in Egypt (the sphinx of Queen Hatshepsut).
Then you will go to Dahshur. There will see one of the tries of the ancient Egyptians to reach to the complete pyramid (the Bent Pyramid) and the first compete pyramid in the ancient Egyptian civilization (the Red Pyramid). Both of them belong to King Sneferu of the 4th dynasty.
Finally, our team will drive you back to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
Day Four: Cairo Tour
In the morning, our team will transfer you to Cairo by an A/C car, where you will meet your tour guide to start your tour.
You will visit Salah El Din Citadel. This citadel was built by Salah El Din on the Moqattam hills for defending Cairo from the armies of Crusaders. Also, you will see the Alabaster Mosque or Mohamed Ali Mosque. This mosque was founded with the design of Turkish mosques.
After that, you will move to Coptic Cairo to see the Hanging Church, Church of Abu Serga, and Ben Ezra Synagogue.
Then you will have an opportunity for shopping at Khan El Khalili Bazaar to buy a gift making you do not forget this amazing tour.
Finally, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
Day Five: The East Bank of Luxor City
After your breakfast in the hotel in Cairo, our team will transfer you to Cairo Airport to take your plane to Luxor. When you arrive at Luxor Airport, you will find our tour guide waiting for you to start your tour.
You will visit the two temples of the god Amun-Ra (Karnak Complex and Luxor Temple). Also, you will see the amazing avenue of rams linking between those two temples.
Finally, you will be transferred to the Nile Cruise. Overnight on the Nile Cruise.
Day Six: The West Bank of Luxor City
After breakfast, you will go-ahead to the west bank of Luxor city to discover the Valley of Kings, housing 62 tombs of kings of the New Kingdom. Also, you will have the opportunity to visit the intact tomb of the young king (Tutankhamun). It will be an optional tour. This tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in November 1922. In this tomb, you will find the king’s mummified corpse.
After that, you will continue your tour to the Valley of Queens. This necropolis is called with Ta-Set-Neferu, meaning (The Place of Beauty). It houses approx. 70 tombs dating to the New Kingdom, were dedicated to burying queens, princesses, princes, and other members of the royal family. Also, you will have the opportunity to visit the tomb of Queen Nefertari. It will be an optional tour. It distinguishes with its magnificent preserved colors.
After that, Colossi of Memnon, the funerary temple of king Amenhotep III.
Finally, you will move to El Deir El Bahari temple or Queen Hatshepsut temple to more about this great queen.
Finally, you will move back to the Nile Cruise to sail to Esna. Overnight on the Nile Cruise.
Day Seven: Esna – Edfu
After breakfast, you will visit Esna temple. It is located approximately 30 miles south of Luxor city. Esna temple was dedicated to worship the god Khnum, the god of creation, in the shape of ram-headed.
After that, you will move to Edfu temple, the Temple of falcon god (Horus).
Finally, you will move back to the Nile Cruise to sail to Kom Ombo. Overnight on the Nile Cruise.
Day Eight: Aswan Tour
While you have your breakfast, the cruise will sail to Aswan.
Firstly, you will visit Philae Temple, the temple of the goddess Isis. After that, you will be moved by motorboat to the Nubian village. Enjoy the Nubian house decorations and folklore.
On your way to the Nubian village, you will see Soheil Island and the Aswan Dam.
After your tour in Aswan, you will go back to the cruise. Overnight in Aswan.
Day Nine: Continue Aswan Tour
After breakfast, you will have a sail with a traditional felucca to see Kitchener’s Island and Agha Khan Mausoleum from the outside.
You may enjoy an optional tour to Abu Simbel Temples to see those colossal temples built by King Ramses II. The first one was dedicated to King Ramses II as a god, while the second one was dedicated to Queen Nefertari and the goddess Hathor.
Finally, you will be transferred to the Nile Cruise. Overnight in Aswan.
Day Ten: Kom Ombo
After your breakfast meal, you will Kom Ombo Temple. This temple is shared by two gods, Sobek god (the crocodile) and Horus god (falcon).
Then you will move back to the Nile Cruise to sail to Edfu. Overnight in Luxor.
Day Eleven: The West Bank of Luxor City
After breakfast, your tour guide will accompany you to visit the Remseum. It is the funerary temple of King Ramesses II.
After that, you will move ahead to The Temple of Medinet Habu. It is considered one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt.
Then you will discover Deir Al-Medina or the Village of Workers. It includes the homes of artists and builders who worked in the Valley of the Kings.
Finally, our team will drive you back to the Nile Cruise. Overnight in Luxor.
Day Twelve: Disembarkation – Dandara & Abydos Tour
After breakfast, you will disembark from the cruise. Then your tour guide will accompany you to visit Abydos city, where you will visit the Temple of King Seti I, the father of King Ramses II, to see depictions of both King Seti I and Ramses II presenting the offerings to several gods. According to the ancient Egyptian beliefs the god Osiris (the god of the underworld) was buried there, so the ancient Egyptians considered Abydos a Holy place and built their tombs and temple in.
Then continue your tour to Dandara to visit Hathor Temple, goddess of love, music, and joy. The current temple dates back to the Greco-Roman period. Your tour guide will tell you about many secrets in Dandara Temple.
Finally, our team will transfer you to your hotel in Luxor. Overnight in Luxor.
Day Thirteen: Hurghada
After having your breakfast meal in Luxor hotel, our team will transfer you to your hotel in Hurghada. Overnight in Hurghada.
You will have a free day.
Day Fourteen: Hurghada
After having your breakfast in your hotel in Hurghada, you may enjoy a free day or an optional activity. Our Rep. will do a snorkeling trip to see the coral reefs of the Red Sea and colorful fishes or relaxing on the Red Sea beaches. Finally, we will move you back to your hotel in Hurghada. Overnight in Hurghada.
Day Fifteen: Hurghada
After having your breakfast in your hotel in Hurghada, you may enjoy a free day. Overnight in Hurghada.
Day Sixteen: Alexandria Tour
After having your breakfast in your hotel in Hurghada, our team will transfer you to Hurghada Airport to catch your plane to Alexandria.
When you arrive at Alexandria, you will find our Rep. waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel in Alexandria. Overnight in Alexandria.
Day Seventeenth: Alexandria Tour
After having your breakfast, you will find our tour guide waiting for you to pick you up from your hotel to start your tour to Alexandria.
Your tour in Alex will start by visiting the library of Alexandria. It houses 8 million books. You will be able to visit its open court and free museums. Then you will move to visit Qaitbey Citadel, built where the Lighthouse of Alexandria that considered as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
You may enjoy an optional tour to St. Mark Church considered the first church in Egypt and Africa.
Finlay, you will be able to visit Stanley Bridge, the modern landmark of modern Alexandria, and enjoy taking fabulous photos there. Then our team will transfer you to Alexandria hotel.
Note: Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays and every public holiday. If you want to enter the reading area, you will have to buy an extra ticket.
Day Eighteen: Alamein City Tour
In the morning, Egypt Light Tours tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Alexandria to go ahead to Alamein city. Alamein city is famous for its history during World War II. You can notice that in Alamein Museum and the Cemetery. Alamein Museum displays old weapons and tanks of soldiers used during World War II. The Alamein Cemetery of the commonwealth contains corpses of Greek, Italian and German soldiers.
Finally, you will be transferred to Alexandria. Overnight in Alexandria.
Day Nineteenth: Rosetta Tour
After your breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up to visit Rosetta.
Firstly, you will take a motorboat and enjoy seeing the meeting point of the Nile River and the Mediterranean. Then you will see the castle, the place where the Rosetta stone was discovered in 1799 by the French campaign. It was the main source for knowing the ancient Egyptian civilization when Champollion deciphered its signs (Hieroglyphs, Hieratic, and Greek).
Then you will have a free time for shopping in Rosetta markets. Finally, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
Day Twenty: Departure Day
After having your breakfast, our Rep. will transfer you to International Cairo Airport to take your plane for departure.
